About the Role
We’re looking for a Sr Community Operations Manager to lead efforts to operate, scale and improve our customer experience and support operations for Delivery business in Sri Lanka. This role comes with a heavy focus on managing programs initiated from data analytics, steering cross-functional discussions, managing multiple stakeholders, delivering stellar operations outcomes, continuous process improvement, and most of all – being customer obsessed.
You’ll lead and mentor a team of program specialists who own the end-to-end customer experience and are accountable for its execution. This role is for someone who loves leading a team, obsesses about strategic and operational details, is energized advocating for high-ROI strategies, and cares deeply about the end-to-end customer journey!
What You’ll Do
- Lead multiple high priority projects and initiatives effectively. Be flexible and adaptable in a fast and constantly evolving environment
- Dive deep into the numbers and make data-driven decisions and continuous process improvements to deliver a consistent world-class customer experience
- Listen attentively to the voice of Uber’s community and provide actionable insights to improve the experience of our customers on the platform.
- Build trust with stakeholders and be a strategic thought partner for the business and CommOps leadership
- Handle expectations of business leaders and take on difficult conversations, which might involve suggesting alternatives or shifting the current direction
- Strategize the structure of the team by working closely with CommOps leadership as needed. Build and encourage the right culture within the team
What You’ll Need
- Team management: Lead a team towards delivery of outstanding customer support and operations
- Business Acumen: Understands direct and inverse relationships between key business metrics and is able to interpret metrics and financial data
- Stakeholder Management: Establishes productive working relationships with immediate working team through to senior leadership
- Problem Solving: Ability to identify problems, generate solutions, and recommend solutions and tradeoffs
- Project Management: Able to scope projects, run multiple, active workstreams, and meet agreed timelines
- Communication: Communicates clear and concise thoughts, both verbally and written, and collaboratively with team members
Basic Qualifications
- Minimum 6 yrs work experience, with at least 4 yrs in leading program management or strategy teams
- Experience leading multiple projects and programs
- A self-starter demeanor, ability to exercise judgment and resolve difficult problems
- Ability to solve diverse challenges and balance analytical critical thinking with quick decision-making
- High standards for your performance, and your team’s performance
- Outstanding communication and organisational change skills
Preferred Qualifications
- MBA or relevant graduate degree from a top school preferred
- Experience building and leading teams across multiple cultures in a highly cross functional organization
- Outstanding ability to work effectively with senior leaders across multiple functions and regions
