Civil engineers use their knowledge to supervise and plan cost construction projects such as airports, roads, bridges, dams, canals, tunnels, highways, levees, irrigation, Sewage systems and waste water systems.

As well, they also collaborate with architects to design and construct different types of building. In fact, they focuses on the Infrastructure necessary to support a civilized society, for examples the Roman aqueducts, the great European cathedrals and the earliest metal bridges were built by highly skilled forerunners of the clever civil engineer. Most of civil engineers are involved with have an impact on the environment.
