The GCE Ordinary Level examination is scheduled to commence on the 2nd of December.
The examination will be held in 4987 centers island-wide, Commissioner General of Examinations Sanath Pujitha said.
A total of 717,008 applicants are scheduled to sit the examination, of which 433,050 are school applicants.
The Examinations Department has taken measures to establish special examination centers in Ratmalana, Tangalle, Matara, Chilaw and Colombo Magazine Prisoners who have applied for the examination.
Meanwhile, the Examinations Department has taken steps to establish special examination centers at Maharagama Hope Hospital, Watareka Sunitha Vidyalaya, Sri Lanka Embassy in Kathmandu, Nepal.
